Peppermint is stimulating, and when diffused can help uplift the spirit and enhance alertness. It can also relieve the discomfort of an upset tummy, and support healthy digestive and respiratory systems. Because of its higher menthol content, Peppermint has a cooling effect which can help when you are feeling under the weather and is also great for discomfort.
Add well-diluted to a carrier oil for an uplifting massage. Add a couple of drops of peppermint to some distilled water or witch hazel and shake well for a cooling spray during menopausal “power surges” (please avoid spraying around the eyes).
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.
