There are over thirty varieties of the bushy, perennial herb we know as Oregano. It produces dark green leaves and pinkish flowers. Oregano is a favorite among those who love to garden because of its strong aroma. The herb is put through a steam distillation process to extract the oil and pairs well with other peppery oils.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.
