Plant Therapy Ledum Essential Oil
Ledum is a low-growing evergreen shrub often found throughout Canada, Alaska, and many northern U.S. states. It goes by many other names, including Labrador Tea, Greenland Moss, Swamp Tea, and Marsh Tea.
Several native North American tribes traditionally used Ledum to support a variety of respiratory, skin, and pain concerns. Today, these traditional uses remain associated with this plant due to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
Emotionally, its calming properties help to ease feelings of nervousness and aid in relaxation before sleep.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.
